I'm not saying that it was right, but it helped me to see things from my mother's point of view. Your song "Sexual Revolution" further helped me in becoming comfortable with myself as a gay man. I saw you perform live on the pier in Seattle in 2004 and I became a diehard fan. You have this natural abilty to connect to people who have been through hell and you connect to them on so many levels. Recently on NPR, I heard samplings of some of your new songs and I knew immediately that I had to download your latest album. Now as a mature person who has been in several committed relationships, I relate to your album spectuacularly! KISSED IT just makes me want to get up, dance, and tell the world to fuck off! Anyway, I wanted you to know that you have had an impact on my life - even in the absence of optimal commercial success. You deserve superstar accolades- and you have made a difference with so many people. Keep doing what you do...even if you don't reach no. 1...you have a loyal fanbase who loves you for who you are and that respects your talents as a singer/songwriter.
